An original painting on board by M Salwowski. Used as book cover art for the story Heart Beast by Tanith Lee, the iconic image depicts the age-old battle between creation and destruction, the subject of Tanith Lee's “Heart-Beast.” The striking image of the girl in red walking alone in the forest conjures images of the classic children's fairytale. The wolf in ice a vision of Salwowski's surrealistic imagination, hints at the danger ahead. Exquisite detail and colours using pen and ink and airbrush techniques. One of his finest pieces.
